Funding Opportunities
The following are resources for locating funding opportunities at the George Washington University (GW) and from external sources:
- The Research Enhancement Unit serves as a central resource to support the research community at GW by providing guidance and stewardship for researchers and administrators.
- The Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships (OGSAF) website is designed to educate graduate students at GW about funding opportunities at the Master's and PhD levels
Pivot
GW has an institutional subscription to Pivot, a searchable database of funding opportunities, including postdoctoral fellowships.
- Set up a Pivot account and click on the “Sign Up” link. Complete the required fields and make sure “George Washington University” is selected in the “Affiliated Member Institution” dropdown list.
- is who. If searching for postdoctoral opportunities, select “Postdoctoral Award” under the “Funding Type” options. You can also refine your search by keyword and other specifications.
- Pivot also gives you the option of saving searches and creating alerts. Learn how to utilize these features by visiting GW’s Pivot FAQ.
The Research Enhancement Unit (REU) hosts open-door sessions via Zoom. These virtual sessions are open to anyone in the GW community that is looking for information about applying for sponsored research. REU Open Door sessions are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month between 9:30-10:30 am. No appointment required.
