Academic Services
  • Office of the Registrar: this office provides assistance to graduate students to register for coursework and access transcripts.
  • Graduation: the Registrar provides instructions for graduating students to complete all university graduation requirements and commencement activities.
  • Electronic Theses and Dissertation Submission: the Office of Graduate Affairs provides instructions and support for students submitting their thesis or dissertation.

Center for Career Services: this office provides centralized professional development and career exploration services.In addition to centralized services in the Center for Career Services, each school has their own career services representatives to assist students with resources for their specific career field:

  • Information Technology: provides resources for students to access the GW network, free software downloads, and other technology resources
  • GW Libraries: GW has three library locations with research assistance, writing center and tutoring services

  • Off Campus Housing Resources: online resources for students looking for housing off campus including property listings, a system to find a GW-affiliated roommate and renter education information.
  • Public Transportation: Washington DC has a comprehensive transit system (both metro rail and bus systems) that connects GW students with opportunities across the Capitol region. 
    • U-PASS: GW participates in the U-PASS program which provides full-time GW students with unlimited use of Metrorail and Metrobus for a discounted, flat fee.
  • Parking: GW has limited on-campus parking available for students. 
  • Student Discounts: GW student life comes with perks! Many businesses offer discounts to students with their gwu.edu email address or university ID.
  • Campus Life: There is always something happening on campus! GW hosts hundreds of events open to graduate students annually.
